Taxi to Hua Hin City Beach
Hua Hin City Beach is the longest and most varied beach of the resort, with its central section close to the middle of town. A private driver brings you from Bangkok or an airport straight to your hotel near the sand. The price for your drop-off point is confirmed when you book.
What the beach is like
The central part has cafes, shops, kite rental stations with instructors and boat rental. The northern part has boulders near the shore, some vegetation, a guarded free parking lot and malls with souvenirs and beach items. It is the most popular section and is usually crowded.
The southern end, near Takiab, is the most scenic, with many macaques that stay peaceful unless touched. Hotels and condominiums line the whole beach, and swimming and sunbathing work along its length.
Parking matters if you drive yourself, but a taxi avoids the question. The driver can stop at the hotel entrance, which saves a walk with luggage along a busy promenade.
Things to know before you go
There are few plants and no natural shade on the sand, so bring a hat. Horse rental in the northern part leaves a smell near the stables.
If you want a quieter stretch, look at Khao Takiab Beach or Sai Noi Beach instead.
From Bangkok and the airports
